✨ A brilliant political satire hidden behind a crazy samurai legend!

This is an authentic replica of "Yorokonbu Hiiki no Ezo Oshi," a masterpiece "Kibyoshi" (Edo-period comic book) published in 1788 by the legendary producer Juzaburo Tsutaya. Written by Koikawa Harumachi and illustrated by Kitao Masayoshi.

[The Story & Hidden Satire]
The story follows a bizarre and hilarious alternate history of the famous samurai Minamoto no Yoshitsune, who supposedly escapes to Ezo (modern-day Hokkaido) and builds a massive fortune.

However, this crazy fantasy is actually a clever disguise! The author used this hilarious story to secretly mock and criticize the corrupt politics, bribery, and economic policies of the actual Edo government at the time. It was a highly intelligent and rebellious comic that boldly spoke for the frustrated commoners!

Every book is carefully hand-bound by skilled craftsmen using the traditional "Watoji" (Japanese stab binding) method, perfectly recreating the authentic look and feel of the 18th-century original.

A must-have treasure for fans of samurai history, political satire, and traditional Japanese bookbinding!
