This is an authentic replica of the complete 3-volume set of "Oumugaeshi Bunbu no Nido," published in 1789. Created by the genius writer Santo Kyoden and published by Juzaburo Tsutaya, this specific work is infamous as the most heavily censored and penalized comic book in Japanese history.

Following the previous banned hit "Bunbu Nido," this comic took the political satire even further. It hilariously mocked the warrior class struggling to balance both academics and martial arts under the government's strict new laws.

The book was an explosive mega-hit, but the Shogun's government was furious at the defiance. As punishment, the military government confiscated half of the legendary publisher Juzaburo Tsutaya’s entire fortune, and the author was heavily reprimanded. This book single-handedly marked the beginning of intense government censorship over pop culture in the Edo period.
