「解体新書」は、ドイツのヨハン・アダム・クルムスという医師が書いた解剖書のオランダ語訳「ターヘル・アナトミア」を杉田玄白らが日本語に翻訳した本で、安永3（1774）年に発行され、5巻（本文4巻＋図1巻）で構成されています。その挿絵を担当したのは玄白の友人、小田野直武（おだのなおたけ）という秋田藩の絵師でした。
